HUNTERS POINT ICE REPORTS
12/29/11: Unfortantly the crack infront of the resort opened up again yesterday. We are looking at the forcast and it doesn't look like we will be getting out until after the first of the year. If you have a fish house in dead storage and want to come up this weekend let us know and we can stage you in the harbor. We should have a lot of fun we are doing an 80's theme and we will have great food specials. Steak and Lobster & Steak and Shrimp & Prime Rib. Also there will be Karaoke and Prizes for best 80s outfits! Saturday & Sunday we will be having an after Christmas sale on all summer clothing to make way for the NEW sweatshirts!!
12/25/11: Happy Holidays everyone!! Well the ice report is much the same except that the gap out in front of the resort has closed with the help of the wind! We hope that it stays closed, but time will tell...The forecast is mild with moderate winds. We will venture out checking the ice conditions tomorrow and will update further then!
12/22/11: Due to the unseasonably warm weather and strong winds, the main body of the lake continues to move. Most fishing is being done off the shore line breaks. Until the lake locks in we believe this will be the only oppurtunity to fish. We still are NOT allowing vechicle traffic off our access, this is day to day at this point. Hopefully after the weekend, things will solidify some!! Merry Xmas to all!
12/20/11: We have a south-east wind today that has opened a gap in the ice from south of Hunters Point north towards Agate. The gap is about 20 yards wide from where we can see it. We are keeping our crews on shore still so beyond that is hard to tell. Good news is the shoreline ice has not broken up. We still advise no travel on the lake until the ice stops shifting. The forecast looks better this week with some cooler nights!
12/19/11: Our access remains closed. The ice is shifting and moving all the time because the lake is no longer locked in. We had open water on the Northeast side yesterday with a large crack infront of the resort. We do not recommend going out until we get some colder weather to close everything back up. We will do our best to keep you posted. Check our facebook page for the most current updates.
